But today we kneel only to truth, follow only beauty, and obey only love.”

Unite is partnering with higher-secondary government schools across Tanzania to reach students in need with our mentorship & leadership curriculums as well as our Unite Passion Project and our Unite tree-planting reforestation campaign. Since the fall of 2020, we have launched 18 clubs in schools across Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, and Nigeria, and reached more than 2,000 students. Currently, 10 clubs remain active and in 2025 we will expand our program into Kenya. We are building a thriving pan-African network of some of the best and the brightest young minds and our goal is to connect them — both online and (one day) in person through Unite Youth Summits — so that they can make strategic connections and pioneer mutually-beneficial collaborations among themselves.
Specific club activities include studying the Unite Curriculum, which includes 27 training modules covering such topics as personal branding and emotional intelligence, leadership, time management, networking, social media, communication & listening skills, feedback vs. criticism, coping with stress and anxiety, environmental stewardship, mental health issues, constructive conflict resolution, and more. Students are also invited to watch Unite Passion Videos and discuss in break-out small groups what they have learned and how they have been inspired. Additionally, the students engage in such activities as talent shows, public speaking events, community service outreach to local orphans centers and hospitals, art activities, and more.
Unite provides each school club with a laptop, projector, smartphone, printer, and modem along with notebooks, pens, Unite T-shirts, and all necessary supplies for each club participant. We also provide tree seedlings — the size and species are dependent on the local environment and access to water. Each club is assigned a faculty leader who receives a small stipend to cover phone air-time and student club leaders, many of whom are Unite Scholars, to help manage and direct the clubs. Our team of Unite Mentors who are based in Dar es Salaam are in regular contact with club leaders via phone and email/text and conduct on-sight visits as needed to facilitate the clubs’ growth and development and maximize impact.
