Happy Thanksgiving!
One year ago, my mother Katharine “Kit” Merriman died of metastatic breast cancer. While she is deeply missed by all (and time doesn’t seem to change a thing), we are so very grateful to share here some good news about what was created in her honor. As a result of the generosity of so many of her friends and family, 12 teenage girls in Tanzania have been fully sponsored as Unite Scholars for their entire A-Level educations (which is about the equivalent of senior year in high school and the first year of university here in America).
In THIS REPORT you will see each one of these "Kit Girls" and learn a bit more about them and their progress since they joined Unite's program. Additionally, you will find information about new programs we created to further support them, and all of our scholars, which include the Unite Blessing Campaign, the Unite Youth Ambassador Program, The Unite Passion Project, and the Unite Club Program.
This holiday season my father, my sister, my extended family, and I – along with our 12 Kit Girls in Tanzania and our Unite team around the world – give thanks for the life of our beautiful ”Gogo” and for each of you who have supported our work and your kind and generous hearts.
Please know that there are many hyperlinks in the attached document that will take you to videos and articles that will shed more light on our work. Please, if you have the time, take a moment to click through and surf around. I am here and would love to answer any questions or field any comments you may have. My cell is 314.239.3997.
Please stay healthy and happy as we await a safe and effective vaccine.
With love, gratitude, and many blessings to all...
Anne Merriman Wells
