This past summer we had 29 Unite Scholars graduate from our Unite Scholars & Mentorship A Level program. Last week, 26 of them joined five other Unite alumni in universities across Tanzania (one Unite graduate is now in India pursuing a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy.) Two of our 2022 graduates were selected to receive the Presidential Samia Sululu Scholarship (given to the top 640 students in Tanzania for the sciences); two have chosen to pursue careers in agribusiness working, in part, with Unite Food Program; and one has opted to intern for Unite for a year while he studies to retake his exams to qualify for a top-tier medical school (his dream is to become a surgeon). We are so proud of all of our extraordinary graduates. Please click HERE and HERE to listen to what a few of them have to say about their experiences with Unite. Only 3.1% of Tanzanians enroll in tertiary education?
We are so proud of our graduates (from 2021 & 2022) for their extraordinary accomplishments, and we are most grateful to those of you who helped make these young people’s dreams of university possible.
(Note: Tertiary education refers to all formal post-secondary education, including public and private universities, colleges, technical training institutes, and vocational schools.)
